In flying home from Seattle recently, I was treated to an uncommon bright, sunny day that showed brilliance of Mt. Rainier and the Cascade Mountains. Our pilot spoke to the passengers, saying not to miss the scene below. He called it “breathtaking.”
Also enjoyable during the trip was experiencing an overcast, damp day with an opportunity to run through wetlands along the Soos Creek Trail. This capped off a year in which I got my first experiences on public paths in Seattle, Boulder and NYC. Santa was good all year. I don’t have a picture of the Cascades, so this Seattle view will need to suffice.
The nuances and differing character of life throughout the country always captures my interest. Now it’s on to exciting writing projects for 2016.
