Listen for the wheels rolling, or a bell ring followed by the words, “on the left.” That was a task for me last week when otherwise I might let my mind wonder aimlessly during walk breaks in a week focused on writing.
Mile after mile of trails in Boulder, Colo., are actively used by residents and students of all ages. Walkers/joggers are welcome, but on trails in the middle of town much of the traffic is by bicycle, some for recreation, others as a means of transportation. The bikers easily navigate by those on foot like myself.
A different population mix (and scenery) requires different services, but you wonder if available in other communities more people would enjoy such options. It was a cool change of pace.
